ISLAM AND ITS CULTURAL INFLUENCE



Before the spread of Christianity, the Mediterranean and Eastern world, except for the people of Israel, was polytheistic. Despite the spread of Christianity in the ancient world, around the 6th century, Arab culture, of Semitic origin like the Hebrews, was made up of Bedouin clans, nomadic herders, small cities, merchants and peasants, mostly practitioners of animist religions and polytheists.
